Lake Norman vs. United Faith

Two schools that has plenty of talent start your Day 2 off in the right way. Lake Norman under head coach Grant Hodges is deep and loaded with talent, and they would like nothing more to start the season off in style on the big stage. There are plenty of names you have heard including 2023 Cole Callaway and 2025 Tre McKinnon; but they will be going up against a program that is deep and talent as well, as United Faith is one of the early favorites for a state title in the 1A Division. This looks to be a great way to start the day off.

Charlotte Latin vs. Christ School

Another favorite will be in action early on in the day, as Christ School is a team that is deep and very talented, as they are looking to build off last season and prove that they are ready to be a team that makes a run.  Players like 2023 Emanuel Richards and Anthony Robinson lead the charge, while also having several big-time guards. They go up against a tough-minded Charlotte Latin that is coming off a 23-4 season last year and return several f the same players, so this could be an absolute battle between these two schools.

Concord Academy vs. Asheville School

There is no doubt about it, Concord Academy has proven that they are a championship-caliber team with terrific players in JJ Moore, Isaiah Tate, Noah Van Bibber, Avion Pinner, and others.  They are fun to watch, like to get up and down, and they are playing with a ton of confidence. But Asheville School proved themselves at the Carmel Tip-Off with how strong this team is and that they should be a team to look at for.  Could this be a championship-game preview'

Cannon vs. Cox Mill

Cannon has the talent that should attract fans automatically, with 2024 Austin Swartz and 2025 Isaiah Henry provide a dynamic duo to go along with several other players looking to step up.  They will look to prove themselves against a Cox Mill team that may look a little different but is always a program that plays tough under Coach Johnson.

HP Christian vs. Carmel Christian

High Point Christian had a terrific season last year and they bring a lot of firepower back this season as they look to make another run for a title. They will get a great understanding on what they have when they take on one of the top teams in the state in Carmel Christian, who can get it done both offensively and defensively. Carmel brings big-time talent that includes 2024 Jaeden Mustaf, 2023 Bryce Cash, 2024 Michael Marcus, 2023 Kaleb Siler, and several others. HP Christian has some very talented seniors including 2023 Darius Kane and 2023 Taft Johnson.

West Charlotte vs. Oak Hill

There is no doubt about it, this will be one of the premier games on the day with two very talented programs. Oak Hill is Oak Hill, as they will be bringing some of the next stars to the table including 2024 AJ Swinton and company.  But West Charlotte have some incredible guards that could create havoc on both sides of the ball, while also having two bigs that can make a difference in the paint.  This should be an absolute battle with big-time talent all over the floor.

Charlotte Country Day vs. West Cabarrus

We end the day with two programs that are hoping to take the next step as a program, and they will get an early test to find out.  Charlotte Country Day, the host school, should have the crowd rocking at the end of the night and hoping to continue to find success behind 2023 Dallas Gardner, 2024 Amare Bethel, and others.  But West Cabarrus is hoping to spoil the night with the underrated talent they have. Should be a great way to end a terrific event.
