2021 6’4 Nygell Verdier (Anthony Morrow Elite): Verdier is a versatile prospect on the court. Playing the stretch forward at Independence, gives him a nice understanding of playing inside and out, attacking at multiple positions, and also showing off his athleticism at the rim. Whether it was finishing at the rim or pulling up, Verdier brings an array of ways to score the basketball.

2021 6’1 Luke Proctor (Carolina Flyers 2021): You seem to always hear opposing coaches yell “shooter” when Proctor gets the ball and with his ability to pull-up with the mid-range or from three, defenders always need to get a hand up or he can make you pay.

2023 5’11 Kennard Davis (Team Charlotte 2022): Davis, along with Trey Green, really set the tone for Team Charlotte in the win.  Dissecting the defense, attacking the paint, and either rising over defenders or finding open teammates.

2023 5’11 Trey Green (Team Charlotte 2022): Green brings that football mentality to the floor and plays with a chip on his shoulder, showing that he belongs up there with the rest in the 2023 class. He plays with tremendous pace and sees the entire floor well.  Was tough on both ends of the court in a win vs. CP3.

2022 6’4 Kheni Briggs (CP3 2022): It was a rough morning for the team but Briggs showed flashes that caught your eye.  He really excelled in the open court, seeing what the defense gave him and attacking those open areas.  It brought the defenders his way and he was able to dish it off to his teammates.  He also showed his smooth release with his jumper.

2021 6’1 Tyler Beard (Tea Marie Hoops): Beard has been off the charts the first 2 days. Scoring 19 points on Day 1, he continued early on with a 35-point performance.  He absolutely scored every where on the court, including hitting seven 3-pointers in the win.

2022 6’0 Leland Walker (Tea Marie Hoops): Walker poses a quick first step in his game, aggressively attacking defenders and really can fill up the scoresheet.  He is a high-flying guard that is also shifty in the open court.  Tough to stay in front of this young man.
