There are several players that are already getting their names on the radar in the state of North Carolina for the class of 2024. One player though that could be entering the picture is 2024 6’3 Brandon Smith from Elevation Prep Academy.
The young freshman has been playing well early on, leading his team in averaging 15 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game through eight games so far. After being part of the 2023 class and playing at Hopewell, he has now reclassed to his original class and is making his mark.
He is a 6’3 guard that brings tremendous length and skill set to the floor. With his size at an early age, that alone should grab your attention but he also shows that he can be effective in scoring the ball on multiple levels as a guard. He also is a good two-way player that can make an impact on both ends of the floor.
No matter what though, Smith has quickly been garnering the attention of many with his play and feel for the game early on and should be added to any 2024 Watch List in North Carolina.
