The Class of 2026 here in North Carolina is shaping up nicely and it won’t be long until college coaches will be looking to contact prospects in June.  There will be plenty of players who will be hearing from D1 programs, but I have five players who have gone a bit under the radar and should be high priorities for colleges.

2026 Michael Phillips (Grace Christian)

Phillips is a player I have gone on the record of saying that college coaches should be looking at him hard and though he holds a few offers right now, he is one that I believe should hold double-digit offers by the end of this summer… and the upside is still all there. This is a 6’5 long prospect that has athleticism, shot making, and impacts both sides while also being a player that has so much left in his game in what he could ultimately be.

2026 William Stevens (Davidson Day)

The growth that Stevens has made over the last year has been impressive, but he is just starting his story as he could be one of the top bigs in the class here in North Carolina. He has gotten bigger and stronger, but also has been developing into a true big that impacts both offensively and defensively. Stevens alters a lot of shots with his big-time size and long wingspan, really anchoring the paint for his team. But he is also a big that displays touch and feel in the post, but can also step out at times.

2026 Toot Clay (High Point Christian)

Clay is a bit under the radar and I think he could be one that schools should be taking a look at more.  One can see that he has added more and is starting to understand his impact; his athleticism, his versatility, his impact on the boards, his ability to block shots, and adding more to his offensive resume, Clay could be a sneaky prospect for D1 schools to look at more.

2026 Antonio McKoy (Harrells Christian)

McCoy is one that I believe should earn more attention and yet he goes a bit under the radar.  There is a lot to like about his potential and his game, whether it is how explosive he can be out in the open court, his size at his position, his ability to score from multiple levels, and not to mention his potential that he could ultimately reach.  If things continue to develop and he reaches his potential, several D1 schools will be coming his way and this could be the start this summer.

2026 Bradley Floyd (Kings Mountain)

Floyd is another prospect that is coming off a strong high school season but I would say still goes under the radar. Well, he shouldn’t as he is a very interesting prospect that D1 schools would love to have. Watching him this season, Floyd brings length and scoring ability but you can’t help but also love his vision, his ability to set up his teammates, and his impact on the boards.  He shows that he can impact the game in so many ways, and he should hold multiple offers after this summer.
