Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

Player: Fletcher Bigham
Class: 2023
Committed to: Sewanee

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

“Although he is long, wiry, and possesses a 6-foot-7 frame, Bigham is often used as someone who can space the floor from beyond the arc. While he does display feel, touch, and footwork around the basket, he’s capable of causing matchup problems with his ability to hit jumpers. Bigham is capable of attacking defenders within a few dribbles and is athletic enough to meet opponents at the rim on either end of the floor. Between his time with the Buccaneers and PSB Larkin, he’s shown the ability to succeed in a variety of different roles and settings. Expect both Hewett and Bigham to ultimately be useful pieces at the next level.”

“Bigham did a great job in showcasing his ability to step out and be a threat from the perimeter, knocking down shots with a confident shot but also competing around the basket and on the glass.”

“Bigham is a terrific offensive threat with the ability to score in a variety of different ways, both on the block or along the perimeter. He displays touch, feel, footwork, and craftiness around the basket, but is also tougher than he initially appears. Bigham is a deft passer who looks to set up others and hit the open man whenever possible. He’s an active two-way rebounder with the necessary skill to push the break within a few dribbles or attack opposing big men from the wing. Bigham is also a solid all-around athlete who utilizes his length well and can meet opponents at the rim when finishing. He scored the ball at a high percentage from beyond the arc, consistently capitalized on second-chance opportunities, and altered/blocked shots at a strong rate defensively. Though he’s now firmly on the radar of college coaches, his recruitment should take off over the coming months at Charlotte Country Day.”

“On the subject of big men that could potentially prove their value to the next level, Fletcher Bigham is an increasingly reliable stretch forward for this roster. Given that PSB Elite Larkin has already proven to be a collective of perimeter marksmen, Bigham is a sensible piece of the puzzle. Along with providing an advantage when he’s hitting, Bigham’s long, 6’7 frame is enough to provide this group an interior boost defensively.”
