Rewinding back in 2022, Phenom Hoops had a chance to watch Team MOAM at our Phenom G3 Showcase and it was an interesting team in the talent they were able to bring in.  One player that we did spotlight was 2024 Cam Miles, as he was lighting it up and played extremely well.

At that time, we had this to say about Miles’ game: (Click Here)

“He showed that he is a smooth point guard who can create and get to the basket but also knock down shots. He did a great job in creating for himself, showing his aggression in getting to the basket, but also did a terrific job in finding his teammates, making sensational, on-target passes as well. Add on top his ability to get on the boards and make some plays on the defensive end, Miles really opened some eyes to what he could be at the next level.”

“First time watching Miles and I was impressed with what he showed all over the court. He gave us a glimpse of his ability to score with a smooth feel, getting to the basket and finishing around defenders or at the rim. But he also made several plays in seeing the floor, finding his teammates well, and getting on the boards. An effective scorer with the ball in his hands though, really showing how he could finish and create for himself.”

And he has only continued to play at a high level, as his recruitment has continued to elevate, and college programs have been noticing.  Having several offers already, we were able to catch up with him to discuss the latest developments. Check out some of the topics we talked about with the 2024 prospect.

Offseason Focus and Game Development:

“Everything has been going well so far. We have a few new guys being added to our team, so getting those guys up to speed so that we are all on the same page.  My mindset going into this season is to be Player of the Year in Class 7A. I want to win 20-plus games this season.”

“I have been working on finishing more off two feet. I’ve been working on getting to my spot specifically mid-range and being able to knock that shot down consistently along with making sure I can hit the 3-ball. I spent some time this summer getting stronger and increasing my speed.”

Recruitment Update and Latest Visit to Murray State:

“Recruitment has been going well. I just visited Murray State. I had a good time checking out the campus and hanging out with the team. I recently picked up some interest from Colorado State and Tennessee. I also hold offers from Murray State, Morehead State, LA Tech, Drake, UIC, UT-Arlington, FIU, SIU, Samford, Arkansas State, North Carolina A&T, UMass, James Madison, San Jose State, Pacific, Georgia Southern, St. Bonaventure, and Mississippi State.”

“Murray State, Mississippi State, Samford, UMass, SIU, UT-Arlington, Arkansas State, Drake, San Jose State, and Pacific (have been the teams staying strong with him). I also have visits set up to Samford on September 22 and a visit to Mississippi State on September 29.”
