The Class of 2028 may still be early in their high school journeys, but several players across the NCISAA are already making their presence felt. Whether it’s through production, physical tools, or high-level flashes, these young prospects are positioning themselves as names to watch in North Carolina. As programs begin to reload and prepare for the season, this group is quietly building momentum, and they’re ready to make noise in a big way.

2028 6’7 Alex Wolf (Cape Fear Academy)

Wolf is a player that we have been intrigued by in the past when watching him at the Hoops and Dreams. He has good size at 6’7, a strong frame for his age, and really has given us flashes of his ability not only to score but also to alter shots defensively. Brings a nice presence on both ends of the court. We are eager to see more of what he will be able to provide for this team, but also his development this season.

2028 6’7 Julian Tweedy (Cary Academy)

Tweedy has been on our radar for quite some time now, and we are eager to see what another year of experience will provide for him. A 6’7, he has been able to flourish with his activity level, showing good timing and impact on the boards and in the paint, while also moving very well at his position. He understands how to use touch around the basket and has continued to expand his overall feel for the game.

2028 6’0 Micah Goodlow (Christ School)

Goodlow is a new name here in North Carolina, and we are eager to see what he will be able to show more with a loaded roster at Christ School. He has given us glimpses of his game so far, but I’m sure we will learn more down the road. However, Goodlow is a good creator off the bounce and a crafty finisher in getting to the rim. He has shown that he can mix it up well offensively and has a good overall frame.

2028 6’3 Cruz Miller (Concord Academy)

Miller certainly becomes an interesting prospect now that he is part of the Class of 2028.  He is one that we have talked about in the past before with his length, creativity and handles, and overall athleticism. Miller excels in attacking downhill and making plays, using his bounce to his advantage to score around or over defenders, but can score in a variety of ways. We said back in 2024 to put him on your watch list: https://www.phenomhoopreport.com/put-on-your-list-to-monitor-2027-cruz-miller-cox-mill/
