Last week, Phenom Hoops travelled to Goldsboro NC to watch Wayne Country Day. The Chargers roster is filled with talent and youth. Coach Faulk and his team will make a ton of noise this year in North Carolina. Even with the loss of Jaden Cooper, this team still has a chance to make a run to the state title game again this year.

6’5 2023 Collin Tanner
Collin is a player a lot of schools should have on their radar. He is one of the smoothest scorers in the state. He has the ability to score the basketball at all 3-levels. His strong, physical frame allows him to fight through contact and finish at the rim. He has a pure shooting stroke from the perimeter and a quick first step that allows him to drive pour closeouts. He has a knack for always being around the basketball whether it’s on the boards or getting his hands on balls causing steals and deflections.
2023 Jordan Cooper
Instead of always being Jaden Cooper little brother, Jordan is making a name for himself. Even though Jordan isn’t the tallest or most physical player on the court, he makes up for it with his confidence and shot making abilities. He has the ability to really get it going in a hurry. He has a beautiful shooting stroke with deep range. Jordan also is really athletic for his size. He also has the ability to create plays for himself off the bounce.
2023 Zane Cogdell
Zane is a quick, crafty point guard. He plays the game at his own pace. He has the ability to get paint touches and create plays for his teammates. During the open gym he made all the right basketball plays. He always made the extra pass and would turn down good shots for great shots. He showcased his ability to pick his spots on the court. He brings toughness and basketball IQ to both sides of the ball.
6’4 2024 Jai Williams
Jai is a guard who is able to impact the game on both sizes of the ball with his size and length. He does a good job creating and finishing at the rim. Also, has the ability to score in a variety of ways.
6’4 2024 Carlos Vasquez
Carlos is a smart, high IQ player. He plays the game at his own pace. He is able to make a difference playing on or off the ball. He has good size for his position and uses his body really well to create space. Makes the right basketball play.
