The Queen City Showcase in Rock Hill this weekend is going to be off the charts. With talent all on the floor, livestreams streaming the games, and a ton of coverage from Phenom Hoops, this is going to be one of the best events to start the travel ball season.
That is why we wanted to get a leg up on it, as we spoke to several coaches that will be bringing their teams to South Carolina this weekend. Below, we look at a few players that you may want to check out on the court, whether you are a college coach, a scout, or a fan.

Team: Charlotte Royals 16u
Russell Hawkins – 2023/ 6’1
Coach’s Thoughts: exceptional athletic all-around guard that tends to hit every stat category in every game. Efficient scorer from all three levels and enjoys delivering an outstanding defensive effort. Great floor vision and teams tend to function better with him on the court.
RJ Milliken – 2023/ 5’11
Coach’s Thoughts: Quintessential floor general with the ability to control the pace of the game with ease. Outstanding spot-up shooter, but will make you pay with a pull-up off the dribble. Strong with the ball and plays with a high basketball IQ.
Cole Perodeau – 2023/ 6’0
Coach’s Thoughts: hard-nosed guard that is always looking to score. Quick with the dribble and possesses a good outside stroke. Plays with a very high motor and is not afraid to challenge on the boards. Plays hard defense and gives his all every game.
