It’s that time of year again. The high school season has ended, AAU season is almost here so that means it is time for the annual Phenom 150 in Greensboro NC. This session saw 140 kids come through the doors all looking to make a name for themselves on the hardwood. Several did just that with strong showings on the day. Some of the players you need to know are as follows:

Devin Bassett, 6’1 2019 G at Enka HS – Devin came to play in this event and that was evident as soon as he took the floor. From the tip this kid was in attack mode, always looking to push the tempo. He is very comfortable with the ball in his hands and can use that to go get his as needed or set up those around him for easy looks. He showed the ability to score at all 3 levels. Next in his evolution is to show more consistent effort on the defensive end.

Dillion Harrison, 6’5 2019 F at Comenius School – Here at Phenom we love the grinder type kids. The ones that fly beneath the radar and just go to work. That’s the type of player Dillion is. He had a series that tells you who he is as a player, grabbing a rebound on one end, running down the floor to get the put back slam on the next time down the floor, then catching it in rhythm and hitting a 3 the next. Nothing flashy to this kid’s game but for the motor. Effort leads to production. Dillion is a perfect example of this. Nice showing from here at this camp.

Brayden Dixon, 5’11 2019 G at Butler HS – Brayden is a physically strong guard prospect with one heck of a first step. When he decides to go, he goes and can use that ability to gain separation at will. He also showed off a nice jumper, both off the bounce and as off the catch and shoot. Nice bounce off the floor allows him to get shot off versus bigger as well as help him to rebound his position.

Andreas Wilson, 6’ 2018 G at Kerr Vance HS – Very athletic guard prospect showed well all day at this event. He was sharp in the drill stations in the morning session and explosive once the games started. Kid gets up over the rim in a hurry but can kill you from deep as well making him a hard guard for most he faces. Unsigned senior can help a team at the next level. If I am a college looking to get an impact type player late in the cycle, I’m going to be looking at this kid.

Case Roach, 6’4 2020 W at Travelers Rest HS – Not often do you come to a camp such as this and see a kid take a charge, but that’s exactly the type of player this kid is. He just wants to make the play and has no issues giving up the body in an effort to do so. Showed great effort on both ends of the floor. Stroke is good out to the 3 point line and shows good touch in and around the lane. Plus effort on the glass leads to a full box score.
