CJ is a versatile, high motor, and competitive athlete who can impact games at the high school level from anywhere on the floor. His physical attributes are impressive; strong upper body, powerful legs, a long wingspan, and his relentless energy and effort allow him to harness those physical assets to play much bigger than 6’3 and impact games in a way few can match. CJ is an explosive leaper and rebounds the basketball at a high rate.
His powerful frame allows him to outmuscle opponents around the rim for rebounding angles and also as an overwhelming basket attacking scorer. He can grab a rebound and take it coast to coast where he displays his playmaking potential making good reads and delivering timely passes while also showing creativity as a finisher and the ability to punish defenders and muscle his way to the rim. CJ does most of his damage in the mid-range area and around the rim. He is so active moving off the ball, catching and finishing at the rim or making a quick rip and using his powerful first step and speed attacking off the dribble. So strong he literally sheds defenders as he attacks the rim. Give him any daylight and he can knock down the jumper at a good rate and operates comfortably and efficiently in the mid-range areas.
Defensively his quick feet and lateral quickness, long wingspan and strong upper body allow him to defend the other team’s best player regardless of position and with good results.
