Lady Phenom continues to highlight players around the state of North Carolina, this time heading out west and rolling back to our event at Maiden High School. We had a chance to learn a bit about an intriguing Maiden team at the Phenom 828 Showcase, and one of our favorite players to watch was 2028 Ava Anderson.
“2028 Ava Anderson (Maiden) might be my favorite player in this game so far. Young guard that plays with swagger! Deep range, crafty off the dribble, active all around, and plays with so much energy.” – Patrick O’Brien
Anderson plays with such confidence and can be a dynamic guard on the court. She plays with a swagger that many don’t see at her age, as Anderson brings value and can fill it up in a hurry. She has an unbelievable range in her shot-making ability, as she doesn’t need much space to score from behind the arc. But she is also such a crafty playmaker in scoring off the dribble or facilitating to her teammates, making her a dangerous weapon.
Anderson has a ton of potential with her game, and we only expect her to continue to develop overall, which is why we believe college programs will be taking notice and hearing more about her quickly in the coming years.
