The Phenom Grassroots TOC is this weekend in Rock Hill/Fort Mill, as it is the first LIVE Period with Phenom Hoops this season. The talent pool runs deep throughout and we want to give college coaches a leg up on who to watch and who will be in action. Here are a few players to check out for each team, presented by the head coach.
Charlotte Royals 2024
Player Name: Ryan Lewis
Class: 2024
Position: CG – 6’2″
Game Review: Crafty High-IQ 3-level scorer who can light it up in bunches with a great feel for the game. Type of kid who wants to take the last shot and carries the confidence that the game is his. Rebounds well for size and position. Son of former Queens University PG, TJ Lewis.
Player Name: Bruce White
Class: 2024
Position: F – 6’7″
Game Review: High Motor forward with a strong base. Runs the floor well and finishes through contact. Has the ability play both with back to the basket and can face up, getting to the rim or shooting the midrange. Relentless on the boards and is the type of kid who will run through a wall for you.
Player Name: Dominique Downs
Class: 2024
Position: G/W – 6’3″
Game Review: Great, athletic on ball defender with a knack for the ball. Can comfortably guard 1-4. Capable of knocking down the open shot. Will fill a stat sheet in multiple ways and wants to do the little things. Never have to question his effort.
Player Name: Jake Weckerle
Class: 2024
Position: PF/C – 6’8″
Game Review: Young big with tremendous upside. Can finish with both hands and has great touch around the rim. Great vision for a big, is a selfless player, and is a coaches dream. Exceptionally High Academics.
Player Name: Amari Richardson
Class: 2023
Position: PG – 6′
Game Review: Shifty guard w/court vision who plays with great pace. Has the ability to get to the rim at will and loves setting up his teammates as much as scoring the ball. Can guard baseline to baseline and loves the challenge. Takes matchups personal.
Player Name: TJ Hamilton
Class: 2024
Position: Wing – 6’4″
Game Review: Developing 3-level scorer who has grown 6+inches in a years time. Long arms and can guard multiple positions. When he gets it going, can be a matchup problem for many.
Player Name: Kayvone Norman
Class: 2024
Position: PG – 5’11”
Game Review: Tough, gritty, pass first point guard with a very strong frame. Has ability to play in the paint and absorb contact with ease. Constantly makes the right read and makes everyone on the court around him better. Disrupter on both ends of the floor.
Player Name: Cole Boyer
Class: 2024
Position: G – 6’1″
Game Review: Crafty with the ball in his hands and excels at getting his teammates involved. Great midrange game. Multiple sport athlete with great feet. True two-way guard.
Player Name: Zion Foreman
Class: 2024
Position: F
Game Review: Well-rounded Forward who possesses the ability to knock down the open shot, ranging to the 3pt line. Active rebounder and can guard multiple positions. Will alter many shots in the paint. His upside is off the charts. Runs the floor well.

Position: W/F – 6’5″
Game Review: Has a great frame and possesses the ability to be disruptive on the defensive end, both on the ball and on the boards. Runs the floor well and thrives best when getting down hill. Glue guy with a team first attitude.
