Final: Combine Academy PG 65 – Massanutten Military Academy PG 61

Massanutten

2022 Umar Lawson: Lawson did a really good job in creating scoring opportunities off the dribble and attacking the rim; he did it on multiple occasions. Lawson brings nice athleticism to the floor and used it well to attack defenders and the paint. His aggressive, downhill nature was tough to keep out.

2022 Kanye Clary: The smaller guard already has the attention of many college coaches, holding a few offers already including one from Texas A&M.  Clary showed that he can be a shifty and crafty lead guard that creates for himself in attacking the paint or to create for teammates; just give him the ball and make plays.  Played with a great feel on the court and understanding.

2021 NaQuan Greer-Lyons: Greer-Lyons is a 6’6/6’7 prospect that showed he can operate and impact the floor in multiple ways.  He can guard several positions, uses his length well on both sides of the floor, and showed a nice balance of being able to score or find his teammates.

2022 Kyrese Mullen: The big man used his size and frame to his advantage, carving out space around the paint, getting on the boards, and showing that he can step out and knock down a shot.  Had some strong moments in the game and moved well on the floor, while also getting a few big And-1’s in the game.

Combine Academy

Jayshawn Moore: Moore was absolutely tremendous and filled up the boxscore.  He led the charge offensively with 17 points, as Moore brings tremendous length and versatility to the court.  He simply made plays in an array of ways but did a terrific job in scoring from several levels.  Really find him intriguing with his wingspan and ability to score in several ways.  Also liked what he was able to do on the defensive end, using that same length to create havoc, including against Massanutten’s last shot to tie the game.

Jan Osul: The 6’5 prospect form Spain, Osul can be super dangerous with his ability to get his shot off and knock down shots from beyond the arc.  He doesn’t need much time and oozes confidence with his ability to hit shots from three.  He finished 4-for-7 from three, including three 3-pointers in the second half for his team.

Brent Darby: Really liked what Darby was able to provide for his team on the court. Not only does he bring size at 6’6, 220 pounds that can help his team battle against bigger defenders but he really did a tremendous job in stretching the defense out. He finished with 11 points and four rebounds in the game.
