2025 KJ Younger (R4A Scholars):
Nearly two years ago, Younger was a new name for all and Phenom Hoops was one of the first to introduce him to the state of North Carolina. Fast forward to today, Younger has only gotten better and stronger, as he continues to showcase that he is a talent to be reckoned with. He has consistently produced on the court, time after time excelling in his ability to score, get downhill, and be a physical presence that finishes through contact. But he has added more and continues to work on his overall game. But it is becoming clear that this is a prospect in the class of 2025 that deserves the attention and offers from college programs; you simply can’t deny what he brings to the table.
2026 BJ Brown (Upward Stars):
The state of South Carolina is an interesting one and several prospects have been making a name for themselves. One player that many of our scouts enjoyed watching again on the court was 2026 6’4 BJ Brown. He excelled at the Phenom Challenge and played well once again at the Phenom MDC. Brown has the size, the IQ and feel, and the comfort level to have the attention of D1 schools. He shows a comfort level in scoring in catch-and-shoot situations from multiple levels, as well as knocking down shots off the dribble. He utilizes his size really well, plays within the offense but creates for himself, and has continued to add more to his game. After watching him this week, he should garner the attention of D1 schools.
2027 Charles Chienggan Pur (Team United):
Though he is still a young prospect, there is so much to like about Pur’s game and what he could ultimately become. But you have to really enjoy what you see in his game today. Pur has a strong understanding and early feel for the game, understanding his impact, and where he excels as a big man. He uses his length well early on, showing a skillset of being able to post up and display touch in the paint, running the court well and attacking the boards, and also making an impact on the defensive end in altering shots. Pur has tremendous instincts early on as a big man, and I’m eager to see how he continues to develop and grow, adding more strength as well. But it was pretty clear that he has D1 potential and should garner the eyes of programs earlier rather than later.
