6’3” Justin Kier of Spotswood High School made quite a splash in the 14-15 calendar season. The team finished 29-1 overall and 11-0 in conference. They made it to the Virginia State Finals where they lost to George Wythe in the championship game.
On this team, that accomplished so Kier was its unquestioned leader. The shooting guard averaged 21 Points, 6.7 Boards, and 5 Assists per game. Kier who is forever confident feels that he is able to play at the highest level, which played a major role in choosing George Mason. Kier was quoted by Phil D’Abbraccio of DNR Online by saying, “I believe I can compete at the highest level and out of all my offers George Mason was the highest level”.
Kier competed with Spectrum Sports over the summer Kier helped lead the team to a 33 win summer. Spectrum had great performances in the Phenom Havoc on the Hardwood and the Phenom Grassroots Tip Off Classic.
See what we have said about Kier:
After 2015 Grassroots Tip Off Classic
Justin Kier 6’2” 2016 – Spectrum Sports (Spotswood HS)
Kier came into the event with a Fairfield offer, and very little hype outside of his area. In this event, Kier came out swinging, going for 24 points (on 4 threes) in his team’s first game. Kier did not slow down from there showing an ability to make shots both from range and at the rim. Fairfield is looking smart coming in as the first offer, and should be joined soon with a few other choices.
