The Phenom MDC brought talent from all over the region, and Team Ish 2027 certainly was a team that we were excited to watch. This is a team that brought several familiar faces to the court, but the duo of 2027 Travien Williams and 2027 Parker Watkins should be one that college coaches should take notice of this summer and down the road. We talk about each as they gave us a strong reminder of their potential and production down in Rock Hill (SC).
2027 Travien Williams
Williams has been a player we have highlighted on countless occasions before, especially this past high school season. Every time, Williams was and has been a proven go-to option offensively as he can be just a force that overpowers his opponents. The 6’2 guard can create and get to his spots when he wants and where he wants, as he bullies his way into the paint, finishes through contact consistently, and really dictates the action. Williams is a strong and high-IQ guard that can fill it up, but you can’t disregard his decision-making and his overall playmaking ability.
2027 Parker Watkins
It was really good to see Watkins on the court again, as it had been some time. He cannot only lead an offense but also be a scoring force on the court, depending on what is needed of him. He has the size that you like, can facilitate and understands how to lead a team offensively, and is a multi-level scorer with confidence. He has a lot of potential and this is a summer that could allow him to remind everyone of his overall feel, and why college coaches should be looking his way.
