The Queen City Showcase in Rock Hill this weekend is going to be off the charts.  With talent all on the floor, livestreams streaming the games, and a ton of coverage from Phenom Hoops, this is going to be one of the best events to start the travel ball season.

That is why we wanted to get a leg up on it, as we spoke to several coaches that will be bringing their teams to South Carolina this weekend.  Below, we look at a few players that you may want to check out on the court, whether you are a college coach, a scout, or a fan.

Check out a few names below for each team.

Team: Team Premier 15u

Tyler Whitehurst – 2024/ 5’11
Coach’s Thoughts: Extremely quick guard, great athlete who can get to the rim but also has excellent 3 point range. Tyler has a great handle, good court vision and has a high motor and can shut his man down defensively.

Mykel Jenkins – 2024/ 6’3
Coach’s Thoughts: Mykel is a tall, long guard who can really drive to the hoop and finish above the rim. Has a good handle, is a willing passer with an improving jump shot. Has all the physical tools but only started playing basketball in the 6th grade so still has a lot of room to grow.

Drew Pittman – 2024/ 6’3
Coach’s Thoughts: Drew is a high IQ ballplayer who is very strong and can score many ways by finishing at the basket, pulling up midrange and is a excellent 3 point shooter. Natural leader on the floor.

Kevontae Lucas – 2024/ 6’3
Coach’s Thoughts: Long, lean and a freak of an athlete with a high motor. Kevontae has a good midrange game but he is a fast twitch athlete that can get to the rim with excellent footwork and can change a game defensively with his shot blocking ability. Still raw but with a very high ceiling.
