It wasn’t long ago when our guy Kevin Moses introduced everyone to a 6’8 prospect down at Lufkin High School in 2026 Austin Brown. He was described as Mr. Versatile on the court, and college coaches are really liking what they have seen from the young man so far. This is why we dove into his game more to get his thoughts on where he excels, how he has grown, and his recruitment as he holds some impressive offers already. Check out the previous article below and see what he had to say about the latest.

Phenom: How did everything go this summer for you' How was it playing with JL3 and how did you grow as a player' What was it like playing on the big stage with the talent around you'
Brown: This summer was really good. I learned a lot throughout the process and had the opportunity to play with a great team. Although we didn’t have the success we felt like we worked for. JL3 has been great to me throughout the past year. John Lucas has helped me become a better player through the hours of work we put in together. The EYBL stage is the best of the best and blessed to be given the opportunity to show what I can do in front of college coaches.

Phenom: How have you grown as a player with your game in the last year'
Brown: I have grown in many categories in my opinion. I’ve gained strength and weight and have kept improving my shooting and ball-handling. Although I feel like my IQ and passing ability is a strong aspect of my game.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game on the court in how you like to operate'
Brown: I would best describe my game as a playmaker. I shoot the ball well and get my teammates involved by driving and opening gaps. Just have to keep working and getting better.

Phenom: What is your excitement about your recruitment' What have you heard that coaches like about your game'
Brown: I’m very thankful to have coaches recruiting me early on in my care. Coaches like the way I shoot the ball at my size, and the way I can do a little bit of everything on offense and use my length on the defensive side.

Phenom: What offers do you currently hold'
Brown: Texas Tech, Texas A&M, TCU, and Stephen F. Austin.

Phenom: Any schools or offers that really excite you early on'
Brown: At this point in my recruitment, I’m interested in anyone who is interested in me.

Phenom: What schools have been showing early interest but have yet to offer'
Brown: Oklahoma will be attending practice in the upcoming days. Other schools that have shown interest are LSU, Virginia, SMU, and Illinois.
