Tremain Lawrence check in at number 11 on Phenom Hoops latest 2017 North Carolina rankings, as the 6’4 prospect from Quality Education is looking to get back on the court and prove that he can play with the best.

Lawrence has been training and working hard all summer to, working on coming back from his ACL being torn, so rehab has been a big part of his offseason. But when he spoke with Phenom Hoops about it, he seemed please on how everything was coming along.

“It has been going really well,” Lawrence said. “The doctor said I’m recovering fast and getting back my strength in my knee.”

Unfortunately, rehabbing his knee has been the main priority for Lawrence this summer, not allowing him to participate on the circuit this summer, in hopes to improve his stock and recruitment. But he did mention one thing that has been a bright spot this summer, as it seems Wake Forest has been a school that has started to take interest in him.

“That’s basically it,” he said when asked what else has done this summer. “But one good thing happened for me this summer. Wake Forest is now recruiting me and keeping in touch with me.”

“They are keeping in touch mostly every week and texting me pictures of Wake Forest’s campus and facilities and telling me how it is and what not. They also talked about going on some non-official visits.”

Even though an offer hasn’t come in for Lawrence, he still is excited about the possibility of what could come and he knows that if he continues to work hard and comes back from his ACL injury, that the Demon Deacons could be his first offer.

Schools like Boston University, Georgia, Virginia Tech, and Virginia were the other programs that had sent interest to Lawrence in the past, but only letters. However, he does hope to visit Wake Forest in the near future possibly, but that is his only school he has plans on visiting right now.

Right now, Lawrence is hoping that he can return to the court in January or February, so that he can finish up his high school season, but he doesn’t want to rush anything back. But with the season coming around the corner, Lawrence is just hoping to work on the small things while he is recovering from his injury such as his shot mechanics and basketball IQ.
