We have been learning of several names over the last few events and expanded our coverage out to Kansas City as of late. We had a change to watch some impressive young talent at the US Open Basketball Championships recently, and 2029 Aaliyah Mack with Dream was one that certainly stood out.
Mack is a true force on the court. Her combination of size, strength, and skill allows her to dominate in a variety of ways. She moves extremely well for her position, showing fluidity and coordination, while also being able to create off the bounce and attack defenders. Whether she’s finishing with around the rim or powering through contact, Mack scores efficiently and with purpose. Add in her nonstop motor and activity on both ends, and it’s clear that she is going to be a force even more in the coming years.
Watching her on a few occasions, college programs will love her overall impact on the boards, in the paint, and on the defensive end. I’m eager to see how she will continue to develop her game, as she clearly shows flashes of being an effective weapon with size and skill. Mack will be trending as a prospect that college coaches will be looking at sooner rather than later.
