The CC Elite program has been one that has been know to rack up the wins and continues to be one of the more impressive programs in the state of North Carolina. They bring a lot of unique talent and certainly ones that college coaches could get a steal with. CC Elite 2022 just took home the championship at the Phenom G3 Showcase but we are taking a look at the CC Elite 2024 program who has been playing up.
They came into the weekend with a 20-2 overall record and finished 3-2 this season, securing some impressive wins and really showcasing some incredible, young talent to really watch on the western side of the state.
When you look at the roster, there is a lot of talent that should be ones to put on your watch list. First off, you start with the twins of 2024 Chase and Carson Daniel, both very talented point guards. They are incredibly productive, create for themselves and for others with ease at times, finish really well, showcase tremendous speed, bring a ton of energy, and can be an absolute pest on the defensive end. These two are guards that any coach would love to have and they are just starting their story. You also have players like 2024 6’2 Miles Beard, a physically imposing guard that can play through contact and finish or step out and knock down shots; 2024 Mason Hogedorn is a rising stretch forward that has touch, footwork, handles, and can operate in several areas of the floor, whether it is in the post or stepping out with his jumper.
2024 Liam Gates provides a nice outside threat, especially with his ability to knock down shots from behind the arc. 2024 Jaylen Clagget brings a nice two-way ability with a well-rounded skillset that makes plays both on and off the ball. 2023 Brayden Blue is a long prospect that can impact the floor in multiple ways, including providing the ability to create and score for himself. You also have other plays like Karis Murphy, PJ Van Horn, Jalen Chambers, Chris Burnette, and Landon Foley, all part of the Class of 2024, that play critical roles and understand that they all can provide something unique for this team.
This is a young and hungry group of guys that understand how to win basketball games. Playing up for much of the year, it is quite impressive what they have been able to accomplish so far but they aren’t slowing down and they are certainly a team to start tracking more throughout the state.
