You won’t hear the words “blazing speed” to define the play of 6’0 ’19 PG JC Tharrington of Team United, but that’s OK with us. We’ve watched Tharrington countless times over the past year and each time his game just keeps getting better and better.
Playing for the talented and gifted Team United 14U team, they decided to play two full grades up and compete in a loaded Summer Havoc 16U division. They were quite competitive and showed everyone in attendance that this is a “team for the future,” provided they can keep all the pieces together.
They are talented at each and every position and the starting five is a legitimate top 100 player nationally. That being said, the one player that is the catalyst and glue of the team is the floor general JC Tharrington.
JC Tharrington has an advanced skill set and his intangibles are simply off the charts. He is the perfect PG to navigate this talented team over the next few years and will should be a freshman sensation for Coach Shon Brown of Charlotte Christian.
Tharrington is a pass first PG but has the ability to take control over the game with his efficient perimeter shooting. More importantly, he has the creativity to make things happen for his team and in our opinion you won’t find a more cerebral and consummate PG in his class.
