The John Wall Holiday Invitational moved onto the first showcase game of the day, taking place between Quality Education and Legacy Early College. The Lions of Legacy Early College were one of only three teams to go undefeated throughout the course of the event. Meanwhile, Quality Education has an abundance of talent but just hasn’t played up to their usual level over these last two games. Either way, everything was in place for a highly talented showdown.

It didn’t take long for things to get rolling, as the Pharaohs quickly asserted themselves as the aggressor. Their aforementioned pieces stepped up, dictated the action, and carried Quality Education to a 12-8 lead after the opening quarter. However, Legacy immediately responded and began to take over on both ends of the floor. After struggling to score and get stops to start the game, the Lions were in complete control. At halftime, Legacy Early College led 23-18 over Quality Education. Following the break, the Lions did an exceptional job of keeping their distance and not allowing the Pharaohs to build momentum. After establishing a double-digit lead entering the final period of play, the Lions finished the job to secure a 43-36 victory over Quality Education.
