2027 Jeremy Duhon (Gaston Christian)
When Duhon is able to provide his shot-making ability for this team, Gaston Christian really shows how strong they can be. He did that on Day 2 at Lake Norman, doing an excellent job in spacing the floor, finding the opening spots in the defense, and really opening up the offense from behind the arc. Duhon has a confident and fluid release from deep and showed that he can knock down shots, especially from the corner.
2025 Kevin Bryant (Statesville)
Bryant was a fighter to start the day at the event, eventually finishing the day with a double-double and doing all he could do to keep his team within striking distance. He competed, he brought energy, was able to create multiple steals with his pressure, and found a lot of success in turning that into points. Overall though, he did his work all around the basket, scoring well around and over defenders.
2028 Chase Smith (Queens Grant)
I’m eager to see what this young big man can do and how he will continue to develop. Early on though as a freshman, Smith brings instant production to the court for his team. He is a very skilled forward who has great timing on the glass, powers his way through defenders, has good hands and a soft touch around the glass, and moves well with his footwork. Smith continues to be a force for his team down low and has consistently gotten the job done.
2025 Bryceton Thomas (Ardrey Kell)
The senior guard was ALL over the place in this game, both offensively and defensively. Offensively, he was able to attack the defense and finish strong, as well as knock down shots with comfort. But his impact in other areas such as rebounding, facilitating, blocking shots, and creating steals defensively was just as impressive; he did it all for his team on Day 2.
2025 Ty Sanders (North Lincoln)
Sanders is an unsigned senior who deserves attention from college programs; he is a high IQ playmaking guard who has terrific court awareness in finding open teammates but can be a game-changer with his ability to knock down shots and be a consistent scorer. He is tough off the bounce and finishing but has such confidence from behind the arc as well. Consistently scores and competes at a high level for his team.
2025 Tre McKinnon (Lake Norman)
For Lake Norman to achieve the ultimate goal, they will need McKinnon to do what he showed on Day 2. He was explosive, assertive in getting downhill, attacking and creating fouls to get to the line, and was able to mix it up offensively as well. McKinnon is a unique prospect with his length and athleticism, which allows him to impact the game on both sides of the court. He has continued to expand his overall game and become a consistent threat from multiple levels on the court, as he showed that on Day 2.
