#7 5’9” 2019 Jalil Bessant of Irmo High School

Bessant is a point guard, and there is no questioning that. He displayed a solid understanding of the game and took well to coaching when going through drills and in the huddle. Bessant’s camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Jalil has a solid basketball IQ and feel for the game.” As Bessant continues forward we would like to see him continue working on his long range shooting. He knows the game and is comfortable with the ball in his hands.

#22 6’ 2018 Trey McGowans of Wren High School (Pelzer)

McGowans came into camp with a great attitude, not only did he display leadership but he showed a good work ethic. McGowans was best able to play off of his jump shot, where he scored beyond the arc and in the mid-range. McGowans’ camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Trey has a great feel for the game and was a pleasure to coach.” As McGowans moves forward we would like to see him continue working on his ball skills, but his confidence is high.

#28 6’1” 2017 Josh Caldwell of Heathwood Hall (Columbia)

Caldwell carries a good feel for the game and natural leadership qualities. He displayed his ability as a pass first point guard who used a solid handle and quick first step to be able to consistently get into the lane. Caldwell’s camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Josh has excellent court vision and is an unselfish player. Josh has an extremely high ceiling as a player and was a pleasure to coach.” As Caldwell carries forward we would like to see him continue working on finishing at the rim. He is a pass first point guard that D1 coaches should start tracking.

#29 6’3” 2017 Antron Smith of Oakbrook Prep (Simpsonville)

Smith came into camp with a great attitude, he took well to coaching and utilized a “run through a brick wall” mentality to compete. Smith’s camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Antron is a tough, hard-nosed player. He rebounds well from all spots on the floor.” As Smith carries forward we would like to see him continue to hone in his shooting touch. His calling card is his hustle, and every winning team needs one.

#46 6’2” 2017 Christiaan Jones of Cardinal Newman (Columbia)

Jones is a natural scorer. He does so with confidence, with skill, and with regularity. Jones has touch off the catch as well as the ability to put the ball on the floor and either finish in the mid range or get to the rim. Jones’ camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Christiaan shot the ball, all day, extremely well but also was a very unselfish player.” As Jones carries forward we would like to see him continue paying consistent attention on defense. He is a confident player that is continuing to get better each day.

#66 6’5” 2016 Miguel Priest of Legacy Charter (Greenville)

Priest, a left hander, is a unique talent. He has a comfort on the ball in the half court setting and great vision. While his offense is most effective 15 feet and in, he is sturdy enough to finish through contact and athletic enough to finish above the rim. Priest’s camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Miguel has excellent court vision and the ability to finish with contact.” As Miguel carries forward we would like to see him continue to pay attention to his footwork. Priest is a unique talent who carries multiple D1 offers. More schools at that level should look in, they would like what they see.

#67 6’5” 2016 Chacne Prandy South Aiken High School (Aiken)

Prandy is a high IQ player who is always in the right place, and is a consistently productive player. Prandy played comfortably at the high post where he moved well off the ball, and was able to put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. Prandy’s camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated,“Chance is very unselfish and has a great feel for the game. He can also finish above the rim.” As Prandy carries forward we would like to see him continue working on his defensive footwork. He will put up numbers across the board and wow you with a couple of athletic plays per game.

#77 6’6” 2017 Kaiden Rice of Ridge View High School (Columbia)

Rice carries a basketball player’s frame as he is tall with great length. On the court Rice displays good athleticism on the break, and deep range and touch in the half court. Rice’s camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Kaiden is unselfish and has a great feel for the game.”As Rice carries forward we would like see his confidence continue to stay high. D1 coaches should start coming around as he has a great feel for the game, and when it clicks his upside is very high.

#93 6’8” 2018 Kyle Rawson of 22 Feet Academy (Greenville)

Rawson carries a unique skill set for a player his age and size. Originally from the Netherlands, the lefty is very skilled and carries an unselfish basketball IQ. Rawson’s camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Kyle is an extremely intelligent and unselfish player.” As Rawson continues forward, he will naturally get stronger and more athletic. Rawson was tough when attacking from the wing, as he shot with range, attacked the rim, and found the open man very effectively. Already carrying D1 offers, look for many more to follow.

#98 6’9” 2016 Jarred Ritter of Legacy Charter (Greenville)

Ritter came into camp with a great attitude and worked very hard on both ends of the court. Ritter has good size and is very active on the boards. Ritter’s camp coach Jeff Dibattisto stated, “Jarred is very unselfish and a team player.” As Ritter carries forward we would like to see him continue to work on his strength and footwork. Ritter carries multiple D2 offers, and you cannot teach his size and motor.
