Player: Korie Corbett
Class: 2026
School: Ridge View
AAU: Upward Stars
2026 Korie Corbett, a prospect regarded as one of, if not the top player in South Carolina for his class, continues to lead the charge this summer for Upward Stars after a strong high school season. The 6’4 guard continues to excel in several areas of the floor, attacking off the bounce, showcasing athleticism and playmaking ability, is one who can create well for himself, and plays well within the offense. We have had Corbett on our platform on several occasions, including at the Phenom Challenge as well as previous events.
This is what we had to say about his game back in December also:
“Looking to bounce back from a loss on Day 1, Corbett certainly showed why he is ranked as one of the premier talents in the state of South Carolina. Corbett was able to dictate his offense and get where he wanted, using his frame and athleticism to get to his spots, overpower defenders when attacking downhill, forcing the action, and being an effective scoring option from all three levels.”
Patrick O’Brien/ Phenom Hoops was able to catch up with Corbett to check in on some of the latest, as he continues to have the eyes of several schools around the area.
Recruitment Update:
Phenom Hoops was able to catch up with Corbett about some of the latest in his recruitment. Corbett holds offers from California, South Carolina, and Ole Miss, and he mentioned that the Gamecocks staff have been in touch quite often. “We are always talking and stay in touch a lot,” Corbett told Phenom Hoops.
South Carolina was the last program to offer, but California offered back in October as well. Corbett had mentioned that Cal would be a program of interest to visit and check out. As far as other schools showing interest, he mentioned that Virginia Tech and Clemson were two other schools that have been in touch.
