Around this area, people know who Ben Robertson is. He is a borderline legend for his high flying exploits. Even while playing with the PSB Elite this summer not many people out of the area know Robertson, he had offers from Furman, Campbell, and Bucknell.

Even being a starter and captain on the loaded High Point Christian team, Robertson ended his recruitment on Monday, as the 6’4” high flying Robertson called it for Bucknell.

In February 2013 Robertson came to the NC Phenom 150 camp, where we wrote,“We really liked the long-term potential of Ben. He didn’t play high school basketball last year due to a broken leg and since has transferred to High Point Christian and reclassed to the 2016 class. Ben is a team first player who contributes on both ends of the court. He really understands how to finish at the rim and can absorb contact while doing so! We were really impressed with his mental toughness and for an off guard can rebound extremely well. Ben has good ball handling skills but one of his strongest attributes was the ability to pass off the dribble with his off hand. After being out an entire year last season, he is definitely one to watch. Only a sophomore!”

Robertson, who carries a 4.25 GPA really liked, not only the campus, but the prestige behind a degree from Bucknell, “All the kids on campus are really close with one another, and make it feel like a family. The students and townspeople all go to the basketball games. The players are cool, and I already feel like I am friends with them. Mostly, the school is top notch and graduating from Bucknell means something.”

Robertson clicked with the staff quickly, and they did a great job of explaining how Robertson would be utilized in their system, “I love the coaching staff and the winning program. They run a quick tempo, and like to run, like at High Point Christian. They want me to come in as a wing who runs the floor and makes plays.”
