2026 Autumn Washington (Ardrey Kell): Washington has been a name we have talked about in the past, but one can see she has only continued to develop, get stronger, and add more to her game. She presents good size and versatility, and shows a nice ability to create her own shot but also get to the basket to score. She continues to take those steps in her game.
2024 Blanca Thomas (Charlotte Catholic): Committed to North Carolina, it is so easy to see why Thomas was such a big-time target for many and for the Tar Heels. Her impact can be felt in so many ways, whether it is locking down defense, bring a shot-blocker or rim protector, but also being an absolute force in the paint with her 6’5 frame.
2026 Kiara Anderson (East Lincoln): Anderson was a name that really popped out for me when watching her. She was electric with the ball in her hands, as she was incredibly shifty, was able to create space off the dribble, facilitate and get by defenders, and score from a variety of levels. She is one that should have the attention of college coaches quickly in what she can do on the court.
2024 Sheree Gidney (Hickory Ridge): Gidney is a clear leader for this team, as she is looked upon to really make her impact felt in a variety of ways. She competes and carves out space in the paint, and usually has to guard the opponent’s biggest player. But she was able to demonstrate her comfort in stepping out, creating for herself, bringing a defensive presence, and her ability to make an impact in so many ways for her team.
2024 Bailee Goodlett (North Rowan): One thing for sure, Goodlett was one of the quickest players on the court throughout the event. Time after time, she used that to her advantage, pushing the ball out in transition, blowing by defenders to get inside the defense, and getting the defense to collapse on her to set up her teammates.
2025 Samantha and Alexis Shehan (Lake Norman): We recently wrote about the Shehan sisters, but they simply can’t go unnoticed in how they fill up the stat sheet and how they lead for this team. Both Samantha and Alexis should have huge seasons once again, as they do it all on the court; scoring, running the offense, pushing in transition, rebounding, creating second-chance opportunities, facilitating, and defending. Very impressive duo for Lake Norman.
2024 Jerin Truesdale (Myers Park): Truesdale is an experience veteran after leading the team last year for the Mustangs. She picked up right where she left off, as she displayed tremendous footwork, found ways to score around defenders, and had excellent vision in finding her teammates for easy baskets. Expect a big year once again for the senior leader, as she played at a high level.
