Phenom Feast of Champions
Team Preview: Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC)

Coach Charles Harris led Greene Central to the most successful season in school’s history…and he returns everyone from the 26-2 team. They have great size, they have great athleticism and length and they have great guard play. This team brings a winning recipe.

Harris’ team has some unfinished business to take care of this year as their magical season came to an end in the NCHSAA East Finals. They are led by top recruit Imajae Dodd, but they also carry a bevy of talent throughout the lineup. This is a team that plays fast, plays hard for 94 feet and gets up and down the floor.

To say the least they have a roster full of college level players, at varying degrees, and they are incredibly fun to watch

Let’s take a look at the players:

6’7” 2019 Imajae Dodd
Dodd is a big name around the region, but surprisingly enough his name has yet to make it around the national circles. We have a feeling that will change this year. He is an incredible force on the block with great hands and footwork. He faces up and gets downhill with ferocity. He is a great 2-handed rebounder, very strong. He is explosive around the rim and has great timing on defense. Season averages of 25 points, 12 boards, and 5 blocks would not be surprising. He currently has East Carolina, Charlotte, Tulane, Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina offers…That list should be at lease 3-4 times that size, expect the offers to start coming.

5’10” Unsigned Senior Donquez Davis
While Dodd is the spotlight player, it is Davis that makes things go for this team. He provides the on the ball pressure for the length of the floor and gets his teammates the ball where they are most comfortable. Davis can get his own as well. He makes the team better and will be a central cog in Greene Central’s run to the state championship.

6’5” 2019 Donte Johnson
Johnson is officially on breakout watch. He has a great frame and carries high level length and athleticism. On this team he is forced to play the 4 position, due to his size and ability to rebound and defend multiple positions. However, he is a natural wing, one who gets to the rim and has upside as a lock down type defender. This is one that college coaches need to go ahead and get on and start to evaluate.

Other Players of Note
