#16: 5’3 ’29 Carson Gladieux (Apex Friendship)

First up, Carson Gladieux is a 5-foot-3 prospect in the Class of 2029. He’s a smooth, unselfish guard who can create off the bounce but is arguably at his best in spot-up situations. The next step in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him a more physically imposing player. Coach Anderson on Gladieux: “Crafty defender who didn’t back down from matchups on either end of the floor. Solid perimeter shooter who does well to move without the ball.” Gladieux enjoyed a quality showing at camp and has the tools to emerge as a difference-maker at the high school level over the coming years.

#40: 5’5 ’29 Ty Gladieux (Apex Friendship)

Next, Ty Gladieux is a 5-foot-5 prospect in the Class of 2029. He’s a smart, scrappy guard who defends with toughness and shoots the ball at a high clip. The next step in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a better creator against defensive pressure. Coach Anderson on Gladieux: “Ty is a heady defender who did well at creating opportunities with perimeter shooting and defensive prowess. Brought tenacious energy on the defensive side of the ball.” Gladieux proved to be an asset during his time at camp and should be a key piece for Apex Friendship with continued progression.

#48: 5’6 ’29 William Purnell (Charlotte Christian)

Next, William Purnell is a 5-foot-6 prospect in the Class of 2029. He showcased a strong combination of IQ, defensive prowess, and overall offensive polish. The next step in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him an even better finisher through contact. Coach Anderson on Purnell: “William is relentless at getting to the basket. He was very hard for opponents to contain off the bounce. Did well in operating as a playmaking guard but also displayed good range on the perimeter.” Purnell did a lot of things well at camp and will be a player to monitor closely over the foreseeable future.

#68: 5’8 ’29 Jason Sutherland (Jamestown)

Next, Jason Sutherland is a 5-foot-8 prospect in the Class of 2029. Between his energy, skillset, and tenacious defensive presence, he consistently found ways to overwhelm opponents on both ends of the floor. The next step in his development process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would allow him to find even more scoring chances as a cutter and spot-up threat. Coach Anderson on Sutherland: “Jason was arguably the best all-around defender on this team. He was overwhelming on the defensive end, forcing turnovers and creating runs for his squad. Gets to the rim with ease and knocks down jumpers at a high percentage. Very bright future as a guard.” Sutherland made a lasting impression with his play at camp and should only continue to trend upward going forward.

#74: 5’8 ’29 Lawson Rummel (Cuthbertson)

Next, Lawson Rummel is a 5-foot-8 prospect in the Class of 2029. He did several things well but was clearly at his best when asserting his lethal shooting presence from beyond the arc. The next step in his development process is working on the use of his off-hand, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Anderson on Rummel: “Lawson was one of the top perimeter shooters at the event. He only needed a sliver of space to get off clean looks and convert over the defense. As his all-around game develops, he should be fun to watch.” Rummel made a quality impact during camp and should progress into a meaningful piece at the high school level.

#87: 5’8 ’29 Kameron Gaither (Newton Conover)

Next, Kameron Gaither is a 5-foot-8 prospect in the Class of 2029. He consistently stood out through his defensive prowess, nonstop motor, and ability to fill in the gaps offensively. The next step in his development process is working on his ability to move without the ball, as it would allow him to find more scoring chances as a cutter and spot-up threat. Coach Anderson on Gaither: “Kameron is another relentless defender who did well operating off the bounce and knowing where to be on both ends of the court. Extremely quick and knows how to keep opposing ball-handlers in front. Coachable and willing to listen to feedback.” Gaither found a lot of success at camp and will be a player to watch progress going forward.

#99: 5’10 ’29 Joshua Ward (North Iredell)

Next, Joshua Ward is a 5-foot-10 prospect in the Class of 2029. He showcased a polished skillset and strong defensive prowess, but arguably stood out more through his unselfish mentality as a creator. The next step in his development process is working to get stronger, as it would make him a more complete player. Coach Anderson on Ward: “Joshua is a very unselfish prospect who did well operating in passing lanes. Constant on-ball menace and played with a ton of energy. He finishes through contact, handles the ball with poise, and creates well for himself and others. Excellent defender. Very quick off the bounce.” Ward highlighted a variety of flashes throughout camp and will be one to monitor over the coming years.

#105: 5’11 ’29 MJ McKinney (Francis Bradley)

Next, MJ McKinney is a 5-foot-11 prospect in the Class of 2029. Between the production, intangibles, physical tools, and all-around feel for the game, it’s easy to see his appeal. The next step in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him an even better finisher through contact. Coach Anderson on McKinney: “MJ was arguably the best overall prospect on this team. Did very well at attacking the paint and making things happen in the half-court or transition. Good shooter who is comfortable moving without the ball. Bright future ahead of him.” McKinney showcased a lot of enticing traits during his time at camp and will be a prospect to follow over the foreseeable future.

#130: 6’2 ’29 Bex Mason (North Stanly)

Next, Bex Mason is a 6-foot-2 prospect in the Class of 2029. He’s strong, physically overwhelming, and plays to his strengths on both ends of the floor. The next step in his development process is working to get quicker, as it would make him a more difficult matchup for opponents. Coach Anderson on Mason: “Sizable prospect with a nice shooting touch and excellent presence on the glass. Talented rebounder. Uses his body well to carve out space and absorb contact around the basket. Showed the ability to consistently space the floor from beyond the arc. Bex has a bright future.” Mason impacted the game in several ways during camp and has the tools to become a meaningful high school piece at North Stanly.

#137: 6’2 ’29 Graham Weaver (William Ellis)

Next, Graham Weaver is a 6-foot-2 prospect in the Class of 2029. He’s strong, physical, and plays with consistent energy on both ends of the floor. The next step in his development process is working to get quicker, as it would make him a more reliable defender when switching onto smaller opponents. Coach Anderson on Weaver: “Graham is another sizable prospect from this team who played at a strong level. Did very well finishing around the basket and had tremendous hands in the painted area. Displayed touch with both hands and scored effectively out of the post. Has a high motor and great feel for the game.” Weaver found a lot of success during camp and will be one to monitor closely going forward.
