Next weekend officially kicks off the beginning of our June Team Camps. Between the two separate sessions, there are a lot of noteworthy teams and players set to attend. These events are always a priority for college coaches, and this might truly be our best one in recent memory. Each day leading up to the competition, we will feature previews on various teams and highlight some of the key players from each roster. Let’s continue the series with a closer look at Jordan High School…

5’10 ’25 Derek Ross Jr.

Anyone who has followed our coverage of Jordan or Wildcats Elite should already be well-informed about Ross and what he provides as a floor general. For those who don’t, he’s an incredibly quick, smart, unselfish point guard who knows how to apply nonstop playmaking pressure. Ross gets to his spots with ease and is capable of scoring the ball in a variety of different ways, but truly looks to set up others whenever possible. He’s a reliable defender at the point of attack and forces turnovers on a regular basis—allowing him to get out in transition and cause frequent problems for opponents. It’s unclear what’s taking coaches so long to extend offers to Ross, but that’s likely to change in the coming weeks.

6’4 ’27 Julian Lowe

After a successful freshman season, it’s somewhat expected for Lowe to take another step forward. He’s a strong, skilled, fairly athletic forward who plays bigger than his size but possesses the perimeter ability to cause problems for opponents. Lowe finishes well around the basket and spaces the floor with solid efficiency. He utilizes his body to effectively rebound and defend bigger opponents. Lowe does a great job of playing hard and outwork opponents for extra opportunities.

6’6 ’25 Peter Bryan

The strong, sturdy big man will be a critical piece for the Falcons regardless of what their final roster will look like. He’s an excellent rebounder who alters shots, runs the floor, and finishes as needed. Bryan excels at simply anchoring the paint and capitalizing within the flow of the action. He knows his role and how to produce within said role, giving him clear value for this group.
