On November 7th, Phenom Hoop Report will be hosting our third annual High School Jamboree at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. Over 30 teams will be making their way to Tournament Town to showcase their talents to a plethora of scouts, college coaches, and passionate fans. After thorough review of the field, our team decided to put together a little “sneak preview” of individual players and teams that people need to keep a close eye on.

TEAM:

West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC)

HEAD COACH:

Rusty LaRue

2014-2015 RECORD:

19-5

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

Darian Slade

Slade is a two sport athlete, both on the court and on the football field, and certainly should be the leader of this group during his senior year. Last year, he led the team in scoring, averaging 14.4 points per game last season. He can shoot the ball anywhere on the court and is a dangerous guard with a football built.

Cooper LaRue

Son of the head coach, as he transferred from Reagan. He should be an instant impact for West Forsyth, after they lost several key seniors from last year’s team that went 19-5. At 6’4, he has the length to compete at several positions and should be one to watch this season.

KJ Henry

Talented prospect in the 2018 class, who is ranked No. 21 by Phenom Hoops. Now a sophomore, watch out for this young man to make a bigger name for himself.

Marcus Watson

Watson is yet another young but talented prospect part of the 2019 class, which should be a great one for North Carolina. He has a great frame at 6’5 and can shoot the ball from deep. Watson has the talent to a Division I type talent that will certainly be a can’t miss prospect.

OTHER NOTABLE PLAYERS:

Senior Darriel Brown

Sophomore Maverick LaRue
