The Class of 2028 may still be early in their high school journeys, but several players across the NCISAA are already making their presence felt. Whether it’s through production, physical tools, or high-level flashes, these young prospects are positioning themselves as names to watch in North Carolina. As programs begin to reload and prepare for the season, this group is quietly building momentum, and they’re ready to make noise in a big way.

2028 6’5 AD Dalton (FCDS)

Dalton is one that I’m high on, especially if he continues to show and develop his overall game. But there is a lot to like as Dalton was able to get a ton of experience last year, and now should be the year to be a true force even more. He has size and physicality already. Dalton has shown the ability to operate in the paint with touch, over the shoulder, and attack the glass. But he also shows the ability to step out at times, something I’m eager to see continue to develop. But when Dalton is being a force around the basket, he is at his best.

2028 6’8 Jordan Makoi (Gaston Christian)

Makoi was introduced to us this summer and I believe he is going to really make a name for himself this season and down the road. Continuing the trend of the Makoi brothers, Jordan may be the best of them all with his 6’8 frame, his athleticism and fluidity, and his ability to make an impact both offensively and defensively. Makoi runs the floor exceptionally well, getting from rim to rim, finishing strong above defenders, and being a true shot-blocker as well on the floor.

2028 5’11 Dyson Britt (Gaston Day)

Britt is one that we have watched on several occasions, and he is going to be a big part to his team’s success this year. He will be counted on in a big way, and Britt has shown that he can deliver. He scores it well from all levels, being able to knock down jumpers and create his own shot, attack the basket and finish, and also be a strong playmaker for others.  Britt is a guard who makes smart decisions on the court, and understands how to be efficient for his team.

2028 6’1 Colinn Morris (GRACE Christian)

Grace Christian lost some strong talent from last year, but it is time for new names to step up. Morris could be one of those leaders even more this year, as he gained valuable experience and knowledge last year as one of the lead guards. But now, he will be counted on to do more and be more of a force, as well as one that can create for himself, get others involved, and understand how to run the offense for his team.  He has shown much improvement in his game, but more eyes will be headed his way this season.
