The NC Phenom 150 Spring Evaluation Camp took place Saturday, March 14th and the talent level was strong from top to bottom. Today, we will take a look at some of the players from each individual team. Each camp coach was to fill out a detailed individual player evaluation. While we try to focus on upside and potential, we also look carefully at intangibles such as attitude, cooperation, work ethic and team play. We hope to capture a thorough detailed resume for each player in attendance.

Devante Barker – #193

“Devante has elite athleticism as a shooting guard. He has to make sure he defends though whether at a camp or in a real game because you could be a great defender with your athleticism. Overall though, Devante is a very talented guard that has a high ceiling.”

Jack Konstanzer – #99

“Jack is a flat out scorer and shows that on the floor. He can score in several ways and shows that he has a great attitude for the game. He knocks down shot inside the arc and outside, has very good shooting mechanics, while also displaying the ability to penetrate the paint. As a point guard, he also showed solid ball handling and passing skills. This is a kid that people need to watch out for.”

John Kerr – #225

“John displayed a great attitude both on and off the court. He was able to knock down some shots in his mid-range game and as a big man, displayed a nice array of talent in passing the ball to his teammates. Being 6’9, he has the size to compete against anyone and was solid overall on the defensive side of the ball. He needs to keep working on his moves and finishing at the rim. You have a chance to be really good.”

Myron Carmon – #54

“Myron is a very talented guard that has to continue to work hard on and off the court. I loved your effort on both ends of the court and showed a great strength in his shot making ability, something that stood out early. Because of his size, he will have to continue to work to get his shots but he was solid in several areas of the court on both ends.”

Khalil Barnett – #103

“Khalil had a great attitude and was a knock down shooter for our team. He gave max effort on the defensive end of the court both on the ball, off the ball, and in transition. He needs to continue to develop his game overall and focus on rebounding his position and finishing at the rim. That is something that he will have to work and deal with because of his size. But he has a great work ethic.”
