Team 4: Kevin Carver

No. 28 5’1 ’20 Bryce Frizzell (Matthews, NC)

Bryce has good speed and quickness in the open court. Coach Carver stated it best, “Bryce is a quick guard who knows his limits. He plays within himself and is a really good ball handler, plus he is very efficient from the 3-point line.” The next step in his development is to be more effective shooting off the dribble and using his off/left hand. Overall, Bryce is a hard worker and has a great attitude.

No. 5’2 ’21 DeJuan Campbell (Hampton, VA)

While DeJuan possessed outstanding quickness and athleticism, we were also impressed with his overall court vision and unselfish play. He was a passer friend PG who constantly looked for his open teammate. Coach Carver stated, “DeJuan is a great defender with a solid handle. He has the ability to get to the basket and finish strong. DeJuan has excellent end to end speed and played great on the ball defense.” The next step in his development is to become more vocal on the court.

No. 41 5’2 ’23 Grady Whitt (Raleigh, NC)

Grady is a really talented player for his age/grade. He has advanced ball handling and shooting ability. He was effective off the dribble and could make the midrange jumper. Coach Carver stated, “Grady is a high IQ player. He makes the right pass and fills the lane in transition.” The next step in his development is to work on off hard and getting stronger which will come with age/maturity.

No. 57 4’8 ’22 Garrett Moser (Trinity, NC)

It’s really nice to see such a young player that understands the team first approach. Coach Carver stated,“Garrett has solid ball handling and is a willing passer. He’s a great team player and is really smart for his age. He knows how to get to his spot on the floor and can knock down the open shot.” We really were impressed with his ability to handle the ball in traffic.

No. 103 5’6 ’21 Kellen Vestal (Greensboro, NC)

Kellen demonstrated an excellent attitude and work ethic throughout the day. He gave effort and had boundless energy. Coach Carver stated, “Kellen is a great teammate and rebounder within his area. He works hard to get open and seems to enjoy the game. Kellen was able to catch and shoot plus was efficient in his shot selection.” The next step in his development is to increase his court vision and awareness.
