THOUGHTS ON ASHE:
Jabari Ashe is one of North Carolina’s most underrated players in the class of 2016. After watching this young gun progress so far throughout his high school career, he has definitely proven to us he has what it takes to compete at the next level. Ashe is a pass-first point guard with lightning speed and outrageous ball-handling ability. Although he is an undersized player, this 5’9” rising senior fights hard to outwork the opposing competition. Ashe is an all-around team player that genuinely cares about the game of basketball. He isn’t flashy, and doesn’t exactly have that “wow” factor, but he knows what it takes to win ball games. Offensively, Ashe is a general. He uses his athleticism to create plays all over the court. Whether it’s a deep three or a finessed assist through traffic, this stud continuously gets the job done. Ashe has phenomenal court vision and does extremely well in fast-break situations. He’s a smart player with a determined mindset for success. Ashe is the type of player that coaches love to have on their roster. He’s a true team leader that strives to make players around him better. Ashe might not be a force on the stat sheet, but he always makes his name known when he steps foot on the floor. With the summer live period just around the corner, low-major/ D2 coaches really need to keep an eye on this guy. If he can improve defensively and work on a few additional pieces to his offense game, Ashe’s possibilities are endless. Did we forget to mention he has a 3.7 GPA' We look forward to see what the future has in store for Jabari.
