From Basketball Spotlight “Super Skillcase” event:
Super Skillcase Analysis: Christmas took the ride up Interstate 95 and didn’t waste his time. He’s built like a linebacker but is nimble and has the touch of a guard. He controlled the boards and scored inside with ease. Defensively, he can clog the middle or chase smaller guards on the perimeter. He definitely proved to me a dominant force in this event and look for his name in our next rankings.

Coach Frank says:
Mike Christmas is a physically imposing and very skilled wing forward who combines power with grace. A bruising paint presence who blocks shots and rebounds extremely well. Mike is relentless in pursuit of rebounds especially on the defensive end and uses his large frame to impose his will and get good position around the basket, rebounds the ball high and has strong hands. He’s a very good ball handler with sound perimeter skills. He has a nice shooting touch and finishes well, can also get to the free throw line with very good regularity. Mike is strong and big and plays very good position defense in the post and is a capable perimeter defender as well. He can step out and hit the jumper to three point range and has very good footwork as he steps into the catch to get into his shot or to sweep the ball through and drive to the basket where he is impressively crafty as he maneuvers into traffic. He’s actually an underrated play maker! He has very good shot mechanics, a smooth shooter who is a more than capable wing player offensively. Defensively he’s a worker and has solid fundamentals. More quickness will come as he matures physically and his future as a long wing is obvious. He is a strong inside/outside presence right now with very good skills and will be an impact player for Landstown High School for the next four years! You’d be hard pressed to find a 2019 who can match Mike Christmas’ skill and physical attributes.
