Coach’s Evaluation:
Dajour is deceptively quick and agile for a player his size and has point-forward type playmaking ability. He is an underrated passer who can be very creative with the ball in his hands in the open floor. Dajour has the ability to get the ball off the defensive boards, lead the break and make quality decisions in the backcourt or at the point of attack. He is a willing passer, but in a fast or secondary break situation he can drive to the basket, score from midrange or pull up for three with increasing consistency. As Dajour matures and his confidence and responsibility grows I think his unique player attributes and enthusiasm for the game will be on full display. – Trainer Kinte Smith. Kinte is a former Cape Henry Collegiate and Richmond Spiders standout who played professionally in Germany.
Coach Frank says:
Dajour is assertive in the paint as he imposes his will on opponents using his large 6’6 220 pound frame and great strength. He compliments that physical style with excellent footwork and impressive mobility for a player his size. Inside he powers his way deep into the paint to get position, has great hands and a nice array of back to the basket moves. Dajour is an excellent rebounder and a very good repeat jumper, also an excellent finisher. Given all of his impressive post skills, Dajour has sound perimeter skills and is a very good shooter to three point range. He has a reliable handle, a very good mid range jumper, and can create off the drive. His physical stature combined with his versatile skill set makes Dajour one of the area’s most difficult defensive assignments.
