Rhymes had some hype coming into the event, however anyone that watched the 6’4” bully during the Beach Ball lefty hyping him as under rated.
Rhymes is a strong and explosive lefty. For the event he averaged 22 points on 52% shooting from the field. He grabbed 6 boards and had 1.3 steals per game.
Currently Rhymes carries six (6) Division 1 offers, from Grand Canyon, Northern Colorado, Louisiana Tech, San Jose St, Cal State Bakersfield, and UT-San Antonio. Rhymes has already taken an official visit to UT- San Antonio and plans on taking visits to Louisiana Tech and Cal State Bakersfield coming up. Rhymes says that he feels Kansas St is close to offering.
His game is a loud one. He is very strong and attacks the rim both in the half and full court. He shoot well in the mid-range off the bounce, and beyond the 3-point arc off the catch. Rhymes’ is tough on the boards and defensively. He defends the ball and passing lanes equally well. He also crashes the boards well as a power wing type.
Mid to High level schools should be in watching Rhymes, he is productive in the secondary stats and he is tough on both ends.
