HS Coach Evaluation:
Byron is a quick and crafty combo guard who can score in spurts. He’s a knockdown shooter from behind the arch (he’s best when he’s spotting up and shoots off the catch). He is working on his decision making as
sometimes he plays too fast. As he learns to change speeds and control the tempo of the game he should be able to run the point. Defensively, he’s got very good lateral quickness and can really make opponents uncomfortable with his ball pressure. He’s high character kid and a hard worker. – Coach Bryan LaRussa, Atlantic Shores Christian School/Founder and President of MakePlayz.com (a subsidiary of Playmaker Mixtapes LLC)

Coach Frank says:
Byron has been productive at either guard position at the high school level. He has excellent ball handling skills and playmaking ability coupled with a very high basketball IQ. He has excellent court vision and is a sound decision maker and passer. Has a quick and varied series of dribble moves and can get into the lane with impressive regularity. A very good shooter with range Byron also possesses an excellent jumper off the bounce from beyond the arc and in the mid range area. As he has proven on a number of occasions during his high school career, Byron can fill it up from anywhere on the floor and can be an impact scorer yet he is unselfish and plays with the mindset of a facilitator first. He has sound defensive skills and is athletic, quick and deceptively strong. A harassing defender on the ball Byron is a defender capable of playing tight and not getting beat. As his high school career progresses I think Byron will leave no doubt but that he is a player capable of running a team at the next level.
