6’2 senior Colton Cashaw will be assuming the leadership role this season for Northside Christian and he illustrated he is definitely ready for the challenge. We were impressed with all the intangibles he brought to the table at “open gym” on Monday. He was active and talking out loud and demonstrating his senior leadership. We really like his size and basketball IQ. He understands and knows the game and is a low risk high return player.
Cashaw won’t make many mistakes and doesn’t play out of his comfort zone. He ’s comfortable in his role and will be called upon to provide the on court leadership for Coach Byron Dinkins. He may not be one of the top scorers this season, but we expect he will be one of the more important players on the team.
