Lady Phenom continues to spotlight players on our platform, as we now dive into 2028 5’11 Leah Johnson’s game, as she suited up recently with TSGHoops. She had a very good showing overall at the Phenom Opening recently, proving that she has a chance to be a name in the Class of 2028 here in North Carolina.
Our Lady Phenom Director, Jay Lawson, was on deck to watch her over the weekend and had this to say about her game.
Evaluation from Jay Lawson:
“2028 5’11 Leah Johnson of TSGHOOPS was easily one of the most impressive girls in attendance for #PhenomOpening. She was able to get it going early, showcasing her ability to be a big-time two-way player. She’s a great shot-blocking rim protector who can also step out and defend on the perimeter. On offense, she’s a mismatch for most being able to operate on the perimeter with a keen skillset as well in the post where she displays patience & above-average footwork. She’s improved her game this year, being able to knock down the outside jumper consistently. If she’s able to increase her quickness & upper body strength,h you’ll be looking at one of the top players in NC.”
What Was Said:
“5’11 2028 Leah Johnson (TSGHOOPS) is a very versatile do it all player. Her ability to score & defend multiple positions allows her to impact winning on both sides of the floor. She had an impressive showing leading her team in pts, rebounds, & blocks as they finished 2-1 for the weekend.”
