Quentin Jackson has long been on the radar. Not only has Phenom Hoops been on him, but many have been inquiring about him across the country. We have been fortunate to have Jackson attend multiple Phenom Hoops events, so we have seen him grow throughout the years.
Yesterday, the 6’3” 2016 point guard from Carlisle School in Martinsville, Virginia, narrowed his list to a final five, Providence, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Rutgers, and Lehigh. Jackson experienced an incredible bump in recruiting during the Grassroots season. He picked up fifteen new offers, from April to July. Including Cincinnati, Charlotte, and Providence after playing in the Phenom CP3 Live event.
After Jackson’s play in the 2014 Fall NC Phenom 150 Camp, we wrote, “Quentin has been one of the most consistent guards in the state for his class. He is a winner and that what his teams do! Quentin has the appropriate size, strength, athleticism and skill set to be an elite level player. Quentin knows how to play the game and how to win. He’s a winner from the “get go,” and has all the intangibles to be one of the better players in the state for his class.”
Overall Jackson carries over thirty-one offers, however he knows what about these five stick out, “The coaches and styles of play fit what I want. They do a lot of pick and roll stuff. They play a flowing game and like to get out and run in the open floor.” He is also in the process of setting up official visits, “I am working on setting those up now, I plan on taking all five soon.”
Jackson is a long, bouncy, and fluid lead guard. He runs well in a quick hitter type system that allows him to read and react. Each of these schools play in a way that will allow Jackson some ability to play open and create.
