Player: Kingston Whitty
Class: 2026
Height: 6’2
School: Christ School
Committed to West Virginia
Though this guard has nothing to prove and has done so already with a strong resume, it seems that 2026 Kingston Whitty from Christ School has clearly put himself on the radar of many more fans here in North Carolina as one of the premier guards in the state.
Many around here may not have watched or heard of Whitty in the past, but they certainly know him now after an impressive start to the season and a great showing at the George Lynch Invitational. The 6’2 guard has been special in leading the way, earning MVP honors in his last two games at the George Lynch Invitational and proving why West Virginia was recruiting him hard. Now committed to the Mountaineers, he has his eyes on other goals in putting Christ School even more on the map.
This past weekend, Whitty was tremendous with his play and leadership. He finished with 20 points vs. Providence Day on Day 1 and then backed that up with an impressive 21-point showing vs. a very good Academy of Central Florida.
Whitty showcased a complete scoring arsenal. He displayed the ability to score from all three levels—whether knocking down perimeter jumpers, pulling up in rhythm, or finishing through and over defenders at the rim. His blend of shot-making and confidence stood out consistently, as he attacked with purpose, embraced contact, and never looked rattled regardless of defensive pressure. Whitty’s poise and assertiveness have allowed him to dictate the pace offensively, while his touch and elevation make his jumper extremely difficult to contest. He plays with a steady swagger, operating with the belief that he can convert every opportunity.
Simply put, Whitty has been one of the most impressive performers on the floor, and he has clearly put himself on the map of North Carolina guards and West Virginia fans should be excited about the future.
