Phenom Hoops traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to conduct the inaugural Indiana Top 80 and the event was a huge success. Today, we want to take a look at some players that grabbed our attention. These freshmen played with poise and maturity.
6’0 ’19 Manuel Brown (Scecina Memorial)
Brown averaged in double digits in all three games. The freshman proved he belonged on the big stage. We were impressed with his basketball IQ and maturity on the court.
Brown was effective from all three levels and really didn’t have any weaknesses in his game. Brown has an all around game that will quickly garnish the interest from D1 coaches.
Definitely, a name to track and monitor over the course of his high school career! Stock on the rise!
6’6 ’19 Aaron Etherington (Hamilton Southeastern)
Aaron comes from a great basketball family. His father played at Butler and his brother Austin is in his second year for the Bulldogs.
Aaron has a bright future. He has excellent length and has a nose for the ball. Etherington has the ability to score from all levels, but is highly efficient from the 3-point line. He has the fundamentals and basketball IQ to become a solid D1 prospect.
Only a freshman, Etherington played with confidence and poise.
6’3 ’19 Elijah Pancol (Pendleton Heights)
Elijah quickly grabbed our attention with his full throttle approach to the game. He played with a high motor throughout the day.
He rebounded his position extremely well and was all over the court. Elijah is a player that creates havoc and makes things happen.
He was equally as good on the defensive end of the court as the offensive end, which is rarely seen today.
