Hargrave Military Academy vs. Word of God
Starting the day off with a big-time matchup, Hargrave came out strong to build a double-digit lead after the first quarter, leading 17-7. And they were able to maintain that lead heading into halftime, really flourishing offensively in scoring 21 points in the second quarter to lead 38-26, as Kendall Lanier was off the charts with 18 points in the first half. Word of God was hoping to get back in this game but they weren’t able to get enough production, with one player finishing in double figures (Trevor Best with 20 points). Lanier finished with 28 points.

Croatan vs. Camden County
A very interesting matchup between these two teams, as Croatan came in with an offensive explosion this season so far. They showed that early on, letting it fly from three and putting up 41 points in the first half, helping them to a narrow lead 41-36 over Camden County. It was a tight game throughout the second half though, as Camden County battled throughout led by Xzavier Wiggins who finished with 25 points. But the trio of Kannon McBride, Trey Jones, and Jaden Hillard all finishing in double figures helped Croatan stay undefeated on the season.
Final: Croatan 76 – Camden County 65
West Bladen vs. Currituck County
Continuing the night, West Bladen and Currituck County went to battle. West Bladen though was able to jump out impressively, outscoring Currituck County 19-6 both in the first quarter and second quarter, eventually leading 38-12 at halftime. Currituck was able to find a bit more success offensively in the second half, but this one was pretty one-sided throughout. West Bladen was led by Chase Williams, finishing with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Final: West Bladen 68 – Currituck County 37
Ambassador Christian vs. Blue Ridge
The game of the night, these two strong programs went at it and were trading blows throughout. Blue Ridge came out strong early on in the first half, leading 23-15 but it was Ambassador who was able to step up in the second, outscoring Blue Ridge 16-8 in the second quarter. We were all knotted up at halftime, 31-31, with JD Bowden leading for Ambassador and Jonathon Robinson leading for Blue Ridge. We continued that battle into the second half, ultimately ending in overtime at 60. It was then when Blue Ridge was able to step up and make plays, outscoring Ambassador 11-3 to secure the victory. Blue Ridge had three players finishing with 16 points, while Bowden led Ambassador with 20 points.
