Woods was another great floor general fueling his team at a high level. Always managed to find his teammates at the perfect moment and can drop a mean dime. One of the most unselfish players you will find. Woods has a silky-smooth fluid game that doesn’t make many mistakes. Don’t sleep on his scoring ability though, as he will drop a boom on you in a flash. He is an awesome high-level shooter, as he chooses his opportunities to score very carefully with an extremely high IQ. He gets after it on the boards as well as a scrappy rebounder.
Woods has the size to cause all sorts of problems on both ends. Solid defender with the size to even get physical out there if necessary. In the AAU session, he was rock solid averaging 12pts and 6rebs. Last season, he averaged 9.1pts and 5.2rebs. I’m expecting big things from Woods after what I saw in OKC.
Woods’ goal this upcoming season is to help lead his team to the state tournament while picking up all-conference and all-state teams. He is willing to keep elevating his game and being that leader needed to do just that. What sets him apart is his great court vision, high IQ, and lethal shooting ability. Not to mention that defense is nice, and loves taking charges. Woods will make some coach proud.
