The NBPA Top 100 Camp has come and gone in Rock Hill (SC), and there were plenty of big-time performances at the event. However, a few players took home the crown as some of the best talents on display, as they clearly made a statement throughout the camp. One of those players that stood out amongst the rest was 2026 Latrell Allmond, a familiar face with Phenom Hoops.

Allmond is a prospect we have been high on for some time now, first writing about him nearly three years ago when he was just in eighth grade. At that point, we had this to say about the rising star:

“Allmond already possesses great size for his age. He is very fluid on the court, moves well inside and out, and can be dangerous with his ability to step out and knock down shots with his mid-range shot and from three. You can also see that his IQ, his understanding of the game, and his leadership are already there. Allmond can score in a variety of ways, using wingspan to his advantage, showing confidence from multiple levels, displaying his ability to handle the ball, make smart decisions, and be a presence on both ends.”

Fast forward to the camp, Allmond was incredible with his overall performance, in which we had this to say after Day 1:

“After watching Allmond play on Day 1, you would have to believe he is going to see a bit of an uptick in some rankings. He was really impressive with his overall impact on the court, as the 6’8 prospect was operating all over the court. Whether it was stretching the floor from behind the arc, scoring around the basket and operating in the paint, attacking the boards for second-chance opportunities, or making plays on the defensive end, Allmond did it all on Day 1 against some of the best out there.”

In the end, Allmond averaged 18.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and shot 55 percent from the floor and 40 percent (11-for-27) from behind the arc. He simply put his full game on display, as the 6’8 prospect finds ways to impact the game all over. Allmond moves extremely well in not only being able to operate down low and with touch, but his comfort level in being able to stretch the floor from the perimeter, run the floor, and his overall quickness with his footwork and reaction on the boards make him an even more intriguing prospect. Which is why schools are continuing to flock his way.

NC State was a big program to enter the picture more with an offer, as it is a school he should be quite familiar with when he went to The O’Neal School (located in Southern Pines). Alabama and Michigan were other schools that came in with an offer. Back in January, Allmond spoke with On3 and mentioned that Tennessee, Georgetown, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, Rutgers, and Ole Miss were the schools he had heard the most from. With his performance, will that list continue to grow? We expect so, along with movement in the national rankings.

Allmond proved on the biggest of stages to be an absolute problem on the court, as he has added more to his game and is proving to be a matchup problem. Which is why he should be looking at a Top-25 national ranking, in our opinion,n by all outlets.
