The high school season will be coming up in the next few months and right now, we are looking at potential storylines to keep an eye on here in North Carolina.

The Raiders of Reagan have been a strong program over the years and have been able to make a mark here in North Carolina with their talent and competitive nature. They are coming off a 14-12 overall record last year and finished fifth in the conference at 6-9; however, could the Raiders be looking to take that next step and make an even deeper run in the playoffs?

No doubt about it, losing a player like Cooper Jackson who was an absolute force in the paint, bringing a physical presence offensively and on the glass, will certainly hurt but this is a team that looks to be returning plenty of talent as well.

Looking at this roster, it seems that 2025 6’1 KJ Ford will be looking to lead and step up his game even more after averaging 16.7 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game. He has consistently shown that he can be an effective scoring option, making plays from the perimeter, creating off the bounce, showing good athleticism at the rim, and being a true leader; he can hurt you inside and out as he finished shooting 44 percent from behind the arc. 2026 Adam Horobey would have been one to watch out for with Reagan, but he is now part of the Class of 2027 and will be playing at FCDS. A pair of seniors that have a tremendous opportunity to carve a name out even more for themselves will be 2025 Lincoln Jackson and 2025 Jayden McCrae. Lincoln can bring more of that physical nature like his older brother did in past years, while 6’4 McCrae has shown that he can be effective in a variety of ways with his size and skill set. Both averaged around 6.0 points per game but should see an increased role once again as seniors.  And then you have 2026 Darius France, a 6’2 guard who has shown flashes of stepping up and being another offensive weapon.

This is a program that continues to take strides overall and after going 14-12, the Raiders would love nothing more than to continue that trend and take another step with proven and experienced talent.
